The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh launched the National Project for Repair, Renovation and Restoration of Water Bodies directly linked to Agriculture at Bhoramdeo in Kabirdham district, Chhattisgarh on April 30, 2005. In his speech the Prime Minister highlighted the social and economic importance of preserving and rejuvenating rural water bodies.
