"Bal Bandhu" Scheme for protection of children's rights in the areas of civil unrest

Prime Minister had sanctioned annual grant of Rs.3.17 crore from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for a period of three years for implementation of the scheme. The scheme is implemented by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights under M/o Women & Child Development. The scheme is under implementation from October, 2010. Funds amounting to Rs. 4.6637 crore have been released upto financial year 2012-2013. The scheme stands closed from 31-3-2013. The premise of the scheme was for protection of children's rights in the areas of civil unrest under the aegis of Prime Minister's National Relief Fund.
