Grant to Self Employed Women's Association (SEWA), Ahmedabad

Grant of Rs. 10 crore has been released to SEWA for rehabilitation of Rural Artisans/ Workers/ Agriculturists in Gujarat.

The grant is being utilized to suitably assist rural artisans/workers/agriculturists through its project named 'Rajima'. The premise of Rajima project was to support women rural artisans, agriculture workers, salt farmers and waste pickers who were affected by the economic meltdown of 2009.  The project was bridge fund assistance as one time Capital Fund so as to provide immediate relief to the women working in informal sector.
