PM greets the Nation on the occasion of Onam

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has greeted the nation on the occasion of Onam.

In a message the Prime Minister said that Onam is an occasion to celebrate the secular traditions and rich heritage of our country. The harvest festival is also a joyous tribute to the farmer. The festival inspires us to unity and brotherhood and to cherish our environment.

"May the festival bring prosperity and happiness to all", Dr. Manmohan Singh added.
