PM condoles the passing away of Haryana Minister Behn Kartar Devi

The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has condoled the passing away of Haryana Minister Behn Kartar Devi. Dr. Manmohan Singh in his condolence message said Behn Kartar Devi had dedicated her life to the cause of the downtrodden and that her work will continue to inspire people to selfless service.

The Prime Minister's condolence message to the Minster's brother Shri Faqir Chand is as follows:

"I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing away of your sister and Haryana Cabinet Minister, Behn Kartar Devi.

Behn Kartar Devi dedicated her life to the cause of the downtrodden. Throughout her illustrious political career, she worked tirelessly for the welfare of the people of Haryana, as an MLA from Kalanaur and as Minister in the State Government. She led by example and her life and work continue to inspire people to selfless service.

In this hour of grief , I convey my heart felt condolences to you and the other near and dear ones of Behn Kartar Devi. I pray for peace of the departed soul."
