PM greets people on Buddha Purnima

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh has greeted the nation on the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima.

In a message, the Prime Minister said that Lord Buddha's philosophy of ahimsa, love, compassion and brotherhood are of eternal significance.

"Let us follow Lord Buddha's message for the enduring welfare of the downtrodden and underprivileged," the Prime Minister added.
