PM greets the nation on Baisakhi, Mesadi, Vishu, Vaisakhadi and Bahag Bihu

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has greeted the nation on the joyous occasion of Baisakhi, Mesadi, Vishu, Vaisakhadi and Bahag Bihu.

In a message, the Prime Minister said that these harvest festivals across the country are an occasion to celebrate the fruits of our farmers' toil and a thanks giving for a bountiful harvest. He said that we must recognize the contribution of the hard work and dedication of our farmers to the progress of the nation.

"May these festivals usher prosperity and happiness for all in the year ahead", Dr. Manmohan Singh added.
