The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh has greeted the nation on the occasion of Chaitra Sukhladi, Gudi Padava, Ugadi, and Cheti Chand.

In a message, the Prime Minister said that these traditional festivals, heralding the arrival of New Year, represent the vast cultural diversity of our country. May the coming year usher in prosperity, peace and harmony to all, Dr. Singh added.
