PM returns home after successful heart surgery

The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was discharged from All India Institute of Medical Sciences this morning. He left for his home at about 7.45 am, accompanied by his wife Smt. Gursharan Kaur. Dr. Singh was seen off by doctors who performed Redo Heart Surgery on him and those who attended to him post surgery at AIIMS. Before leaving the Prime Minister thanked the doctors for the excellent care he had received during his stay at the hospital. He also thanked the nurses and all other staff at AIIMS for their caring services.

Dr. Singh's health will continue to be monitored by doctors during the coming weeks. He has been advised to continue to increase his diet and step up his physical activities. Dr. Singh expressed deep appreciation and gratitude for the warm wishes he has received from people across the country for his speedy recovery.
