PM recovering from surgery [25.01.2009]

Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh is recovering from the surgery performed yesterday at the AIIMS. Doctors in fact mentioned that Hon'ble Prime Minister is recovering quickly, and faster than anticipated.

Speaking from his bed, the Prime Minister said the following to the team of doctors and other staff attending on him:

"I chose AIIMS because I have confidence in your abilities, and to encourage the public to have confidence in AIIMS. I hope the ordinary citizen will receive the same quality of care as you have given me. I am most grateful to all of you for what you have done for me. Thank you all very much."
