Prime Minister greets nation on Id-Ul-Fitr

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has greeted the nation on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr.

In a message, the Prime Minister said that Id-ul-Fitr marks the end of the period of fasting during the holy month of Ramzan - a month during which the revelation of Quran was completed. The festival symbolises amity, brotherhood and feelings of compassion and equanimity. May this joyous and auspicious occasion serve to strengthen our resolve to spread peace, mutual tolerance and harmony in every sphere of life, Dr. Singh added.
