PM congratulates Abhinav Bindra on winning Olympic Gold Medal

The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has congratulated, Shri Abhinav Bindra for winning the Gold Medal in the Men's 10-Metre Air Rifle Event at the Beijing Olympic Games today.

In his message to Shri Bindra, the Prime Minister has said, "I join the nation in congratulating you on winning a gold medal in the 10 metre Air Rifle event at the Olympic Games. This is the first individual gold medal won by our country and you have done the nation proud through this spectacular achievement. I hope that this feat will inspire you and other sportspersons of our country to achieve the highest levels of excellence in the international arena."
