Prime Minister releases Cancer Seal

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, released one lakh "Cancer Seals" worth Rs.50 lakh sponsored by Punjab National Bank here today. The Seal was presented to the Prime Minister by Shri S.S. Kohli, Chairman and Managing Director, PNB and Sh. D.N. Sondhi, Indraprastha Cancer Society and Research Centre.

The amount raised through the sale of Cancer Seals shall be utilised towards spreading mass awareness about the dreaded disease and urging the public to go for routine detection. The Prime Minister appreciated the gesture of PNB.
