PM greets the Nation on Guru Ravi Das Jayanti

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, greeted the Nation on the auspicious occasion of Ravidas Jayanti.

In his message, the Prime Minister said that Guru Ravidas embodied the spirit of humility and human dignity. Revered by Hindus and Sikhs, the compositions of Guru Ravidas have been a source of knowledge and wisdom. His life and teachings would always inspire us to create a humane and just society, where every individual is given due dignity, regardless of his or her caste, creed, religion or gender.
