Left Leaders Meet PM

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, the Congress President, Smt. Sonia Gandhi and the External Affairs Minister, Shri Pranab Mukherjee had a meeting with Left Leaders, Shri Prakash Karat and Shri A. B. Bardhan here today.

It was agreed that the statement made by the Prime Minister on the 123 agreement during the last session of Parliament should be taken up for discussion at the beginning of the forthcoming winter session of Parliament.

The next meeting of the UPA-Left Committee on the nuclear issue, which was to be held on 16th November, 2007 will be convened as soon as possible.
