PMO Celebrates Hindi Week

The Prime Minister's Office celebrated Hindi week from 14th to 20th September 2007 as part of the programme to promote the use of Rajbhasha Hindi in Official work. During the week the Officers used Hindi for their official work to the extent possible.

Hindi essay, Hindi noting and drafting and Hindi typing competitions were held as part of the celebrations. The winners will be given cash awards of Rs. 2000/- Rs. 1500/- and Rs. 1000/- each. The competitions are being held in two categories for Hindi speaking and non-Hindi speaking staff.

Hindi speaking and non-Hindi speaking officers and officials participated in these competitions, that aim at promoting the use of Hindi, with great enthusiasm.
