PM condoles the death of Professor Ramachandra Gandhi

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has condoled the demise of Professor Ramachandra Gandhi. In his message, he said:

"I was deeply sad to learn of the passing away of Professor Ramachandra Gandhi. He was a distinguished academic and a learned scholar. He was also a truly devoted teacher who was held in high regard and with great affection by his students. As a symbol of simple living and high thinking, he came to epitomize the message of his grandfather, the Father of our Nation. I convey my sincere condolences to his family, his wide circle of friends and admirers and his many students."
