TDP delegation meets PM

A delegation of MPs and MLAs from Andhra Pradesh led by TDP Leader Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu called on the Prime Minister today to submit a memorandum regarding the Babli Project issue. The Prime Minister urged the delegation not to politicize the issue. He said that river waters are a national resource and all political parties must work together to ensure equitable utilization of this national resource. Stating that the matter was presently before courts, the Prime Minister assured the delegation that the Central Government would ensure that justice is done to both Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. He urged the leaders of all political parties not to create tension and instead create an atmosphere in which such contentious issues are resolved amicably to the mutual satisfaction of all sides.
