PM Asks Water Resources Minister to hold discussion with Andhra and Maharashtra Govt. on Babhali issue

The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr Vilas Rao Deshmukh led a delegation from Maharashtra to appraise the Prime Minister regarding the Babhali Project on Godavari river. There was representation made earlier on the project to the Prime Minister by an All Party Delegation from Andhra Pradesh.

After hearing representations from both sides, the Prime Minister has directed the Union Water Resources Minister, Mr Saifuddin Soz to discuss the matter with both State Governments and facilitate an amicable solution.
