PM condoles the death of Shri L M Thapar

Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has condoled the death of Shri L. M. Thapar, Industrialist. In a letter to Shri Gautam Thapar, the Prime Minister said,"I am deeply grieved to learn of the passing away of Shri L. M. Thapar.

Shri Thapar was one of the doyens of Indian industry who contributed greatly to the progress of our nation in many areas. He will always be remembered for his seminal contribution to the growth of Indian Industry. Apart from that, he was a dear personal friend and I have fond recollections of my interactions with him.

On this sad occasion, I offer my sympathy and condolences to you and other members of the family. May God bless you with fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. I pray that the departed soul rest in peace."
