PM greets the nation on Christmas

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has greeted the nation on the joyous occasion of Christmas.

In a message, Dr. Singh said that Christmas, which celebrates the birth of Jesus, is an extremely joyous occasion not only for Christians, but the people of all faiths. Exchange of gifts, greetings and other festivities not only reinforce the bonds within one's immediate family but also in the community at large.

May the Christmas this year usher in peace, happiness and joy for all, the Prime Minister added.
