Prime Minister expresses concern at the terrorist attack on Maulvi Mushtaq Ahmed in Srinagar

The Prime Minister, in a message to Mirwaiz Umer Farooq said:

"I was deeply shocked to hear of the brutal terrorist attack on your uncle Maulvi Mushtaq Ahmed. Please convey to him my prayers for his early recovery.

The attack on your residence was also distressing. It is God's infinite grace that it did not cause injury or damage.

Such acts of terrorism cannot be tolerated in a civilized society, and my Government will continue to combat firmly and decisively all such manifestations. These actions are inspired by those who want to disrupt our efforts to resolve problems through reason and dialogue. We shall not allow them to succeed."
