PM underwent minor surgical procedure

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh underwent a minor surgical procedure on his left hand wrist this morning at the Army Hospital (R & R), New Delhi. The operation on the left wrist follows a similar procedure on his right wrist on 13th October 2005. This completes the procedure advised by doctors to relieve pressure on a nerve near both wrists. After successful surgery, the Prime Minister has returned to his residence from where he will attend to his normal official duties. He will be attending office after two days rest.
