PM condoles death of Begum Sherifa Fatima Beevi

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has condoled the death of Begum Sherifa Fatima Beevi, wife of Panakkad Mohammad Shihab Tangal, President, Indian Union Muslim League.

In a condolence letter addressed to her son, Janab Bashir Ali Shihab Tangal, the Prime Minister said, "I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing away of your mother, Begum Sherifa Fatima Beevi during your father's absence from India. My wife and I convey our sincere and whole-hearted condolences to you and your family. We join you in your hour of personal distress and pray to God Almighty that you will face this tragic moment with courage and fortitude. I hope you and your family will continue to serve the people of Kerala and our Nation as you have always done."
