PM greets people on Id-Ul-Zuha

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has greeted the nation on the holy festival of Id-ul-Zuha.

In a message, the Prime Minister said that Id-ul-Zuha is an occasion to remember the spirit of supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim. The festival teaches us the importance of sacrificing our ego and surrender the 'self' to the Almighty, Dr. Manmohan Singh said.

Id-ul-Zuha is also a timely reminder of our collective responsibility and duty towards the poor, the needy and the less-privileged, the Prime Minister added.
