PM condemns attack on J&K Deputy Chief Minister

Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has strongly condemned the attack on the Jammu & Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Mangat Ram Sharma.

In a message, the Prime Minister said that such dastardly attacks indicate terrorists' callous disregard for innocent lives. The government is committed to eliminate the scourge of terrorism from our country. These acts of indiscriminate violence will not weaken our resolve to bring peace in the State.

Dr. Manmohan Singh expressed grief for the loss of life in the attack and wished speedy recovery to the injured. He wished Shri Mangat Ram Sharma a long life and many more productive years in the service of the nation.
