Prime Minister grieves the death of school children

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has expressed shock and grief over the tragic death of school children in a fire accident in Kumbakonam in Thanjavur District of Tamil Nadu. He has sent his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. Dr. Manmohan Singh has spoken to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu enquiring about the tragic incident. He has also asked the Communications and Information Technology Minister, Shri Dayanidhi Maran to visit the site of the tragedy.
