PM congratulates ISRO Scientists

A team senior scientists of ISRO, who were associated with the successful launch of CARTOSAT-1 and HAMSAT by PSLV-C6 on May 5, 2005 from Sriharikota, led by the Chairman, Mr. G. Madhavan Nair, met the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, here today.

The Prime Minister was briefed on the launch mission and was shown the first imageries taken by the panchromatic cameras of CARTOSAT-1 over Amritsar on Sunday, May 8, 2005. The Prime Minister, while evincing keen interest in the details depicted in the imageries, congratulated ISRO for their outstanding achievement.
