PMO disapproves unauthorized use of PM's photograph

The attention of the Prime Minister's Office has been drawn to a publication of the Directorate of Information , Government of Gujarat, on which a photograph of the Prime Minister has been published along side a quotation from a statement made by the Prime Minister in Parliament.

The Government of Gujarat did not seek the permission of the Prime Minister's Office before publishing the Prime Minister's photograph on the cover of the official publication. This is an highly objectionable and incorrect practice.

The Prime Ministers photograph cannot be printed in any government publication without prior permission. The Prime Minister's Office is separately conveying its disapproval of the same to the Gujarat Government.
