PM greets the Nation on Buddha Purnima

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh has greeted the nation on the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, the birth anniversary of Lord Buddha.

In a message, the Prime Minister said that the teachings of Lord Buddha inspire us to follow the path of universal brotherhood, compassion and the service of the underprivileged and disadvantaged people.

May this festival spread the values of peace and brotherhood amongst us all, the Prime Minister added.
