No change in Prime Minister's J&K visit schedule

A news report appearing in the Indian Express dated 10th Nov,2004 has alleged that the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh's scheduled visit to Jammu and Kashmir on the 17th and 18th November, has been "postponed". This is factually incorrect. There is no change in the Prime Minister's scheduled visit to the state and the Prime Minister will visit the state as scheduled.

Apart from being factually incorrect , the news report is also irresponsible and tendentious in dealing with a subject of national importance.

The Prime Minister is looking forward to his visit to Jammu and Kashmir and to meeting and interacting with a wide cross �section of the people of the state.
