Prime Minister's condolence message - Matsyagandha Train Accident

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has expressed shock at the loss of life in the Matsyagandha Train accident.

In a condolence message, the Prime Minister said:

"I am deeply shocked to learn of the unfortunate Matsyagandha Train accident today, in which precious lives have been lost and a large number of people have been injured. I send my heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families and wish those injured a speedy recovery. I have issued instructions to Ministry of Railways to provide all necessary assistance to the affected persons."
