Q: There are reports in the media today that the army moved troops to Delhi without informing the Defence Ministry.

PM: The Defence Ministry has clarified the position. These are alarmist reports which should not be taken on its face value. 

Q: There are reports that there is a conflict between Army and the Government…?

PM: The Defence Ministry has clarified the position. If you read the newspaper, it is all there. The office of Army Chief is an exalted office. All of us have an obligation to do nothing to lower its dignity and respect in the public.
