Prime Minister condoles death of Shri Raghavan

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has expressed grief over the death of Shri V.V. Raghavan, Rajya Sabha MP. In a letter to his son, Shri Vijayan, the Prime Minister said:

"The passing away of Shri V.V. Raghavan, MP is indeed a loss not only to the Parliament and to his Party but also to the people of India, whose causes were always close to his heart. Shri Raghavan will always be remembered for his valuable contributions as a Parliamentarian and a freedom fighter".
