PM speaks to President elect Putin

The Prime Minister called the President-elect of the Russian Federation, Mr. Vladimir Putin today to congratulate him on his victory in the elections.  In a brief conversation, the two leaders reaffirmed the special relationship between India and Russia and noted the positive developments that had taken place in different areas of cooperation in the past few years.  They agreed to continue working together to strengthen relations even further in the years ahead.
