PM announces relief for earthquake victims

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh is grieved to learn about the loss of life due to the earthquake which struck the state of Sikkim and its neighbouring States. The Prime Minister has sanctioned an ex-gratia of two lakh rupees each from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund to the next of kin of the persons deceased and one lakh rupees each to those seriously injured in the earthquake.
