PM condoles the passing away of veteran Left leader Chaturanan Mishra

The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has learnt with great sadness about the passing away of Shri Chaturanan Mishra. In his condolence message Dr. Singh said that "All his life Shri Chaturanan Mishra remained passionately committed to the welfare of our people, especially those who are underprivileged. In his passing away we have a lost a freedom fighter, a distinguished parliamentarian and a dedicated trade union activist, who also served as the President of the All India Trade Union Congress.

I mourn the sad demise of Shri Chaturanan Mishra and extend my heartfelt sympathies to his family, friends and admirers."
