PM expresses grief over loss of lives in Rail Accident

Prime Minister has expressed sorrow at the loss of lives in an accident at an unmanned level crossing gate near Bharia-Bishanpur village in Madhubani district of Bihar. A jeep collided with the Anand Vihar-Jainagar Garib Rath Express, and 18 precious lives were lost.

Prime Minister has sanctioned ex-gratia assistance of Rs. 2 lakhs each to the next of the kin of the deceased, and Rs. 50000/- each to the grievously injured.
