PM condoles loss of life in Japan Earthquake, offers help

The Prime Minister has condoled the loss of lives in the earthquake in Japan and offered help. In a message to the Japanese Prime Minister Mr.Naoto Kan, Dr. Manmohan Singh said that India stands in solidarity with the people of Japan and is ready to help in any way required and our resources are at your disposal.

The text of the Prime Ministers message is as follows :

"I am shocked to learn about the devastating earthquake that has hit the coast of Japan, and that has caused so much damage to life and property. I extend my heartfelt condolences to you and through you to all those who have suffered or lost their near and dear ones in this tragic disaster.

I would like to convey to you that India stands in full solidarity with the Government and people of Japan at this hour. We are ready to help Japan in any way required, and our resources are at your disposal."
