PM greets the Nation on Navroz - the Parsi New Year

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has greeted the nation and especially the members of the Parsi community on the joyous occasion of Navroz - the Parsi new year.

In his message, the Prime Minster has said that Navroz is the most important part of the Gahambar celebration of nature and the seasons, a festival dedicated to renewal and righteousness. He said Prophet Zarathushtra's teachings of human values and respect for the environment are relevant today and hoped that the Navroz will usher in happiness and prosperity to all Parsis and to the Nation.
