PM sanctions relief to Bhageshwar landslide victims

The Prime Minister is grieved to learn of the unfortunate demise of eighteen children of a primary school in Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand. The tragedy occurred when the school building collapsed due to heavy landslide this morning.

The Prime Minister has sanctioned ex gratia assistance of one lakh rupees each to next of kin of the deceased, and fifty thousand rupees each in case of the injured form the Prime Minister's national relief Fund.
