New team leader for Kashmiri Migrants Rehabilitation Committee

In partial modification of the order constituting the inter-ministerial team for preparing a plan to rehabilitate Kashmiri migrants, the team leader of the committee will be Mrs. Sushma Choudhary Principal Advisor, Planning Commission, in place of Mrs Kasturi Gupta Menon, Principal Advisor.

The team will prepare the rehabilitation plan after visiting the migrant camps and discussions with the migrants taking into account, among others, means of livelihood education, health and the security of women. The other members of the team remain unchanged. They are Joint Secretary (designate) Ministry of Home Affairs, Dept of J&K Affairs, Mrs. Mitali Sen Gavai, and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Urban Employment and Poverty Alleviation, Mr. Pankaj Jain. The team may co-opt members from any other Ministry/Department if felt necessary. The team will be serviced by the Department of J&K Affairs and will have to submit its report to the PMO within two months.
