Guwahati goes international - linked to Bangkok

As a follow - up to the Prime Minister's assurance during his visit to the North East last month Guwahati is being placed on the international air map. Indian Airlines will begin flights on the Guwahati - Bangkok sector from Jan 1st 2005. The Airbus ( A-320) twice weekly flight will fly Kolkata - Guwahati - Bangkok and return.

The flights onward to Bangkok will be on Thursdays and Saturdays and the return to Guwahati will be on Mondays and Fridays. And the inaugural Guwahati - Bangkok flight will take off on Saturday the 1st Jan 2005.
