Pensioner pledges regular contribution to National Defence Fund

Shri B. Dayanand, Retd Mandal Parishad Development Officer belonging to Nalgonda, Andhra Pradesh has pledged to contribute Rs. 1000/- out of his pension every year to the National Defence Fund from the date of his retirement. Shri Dayanand retired from the service in April, 1998. He donated Rs. 15,000/- in March, 2010 towards National Defence Fund. The Prime Minister's Office, while appreciating his generous gesture, expressed gratitude for his contribution.
