PM's greetings on Baisakhi, Pohela Baisakh,Vishu, Vaisakhadi, Mesadi and Bahag Bisu

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has greeted the Nation on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi, Pohela Baisakh,Vishu, Vaisakhadi, Mesadi and Bahag Bisu.

In a message, the Prime Minister said that these harvest festivals are a thanksgiving and a celebration of the hard work of the farmers. These festivals traditionally are also an occasion to mark a new beginning and are celebrated as New Year in many parts of the country.

May Baisakhi, Pohela Baisakh, Vishu, Vaisakhadi, Mesadi and Bahag Bisu this year usher in peace, prosperity and happiness for all, the Prime Minister said.
