PM condoles the passing away of Air Marshal Mathews

The Prime Minister has condoled the passing away of the Air Marshal K. J. Mathews.  In his condolence message Dr. Manmohan Singh recalled the Air Marshal’s professionalism and  dedication.

The text of the Prime Minister’s condolence message to Mrs. Mathews is as follows:-

“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing away of Air Marshal K. J. Mathews.  Please accept my heartfelt condolences at this tragic loss.
 
Air Marshal Mathews dedicated his life to the service of the nation.  Over the last few years, he had worked closely with my office, and had made an exceptional contribution to numerous projects of immense national importance. I was particularly impressed by his professionalism, dedication, and personal warmth. His absence will be sorely felt.

May the departed soul rest in peace and may God give you the strength to bear this loss.”
