PM condoles the passing away of Union Minister Sis Ram Ola

The Prime Minister has condoled the passing away of  veteran Congressman and Union Minister Shri Sis Ram Ola. In his condolence message Dr. Manmohan Singh described the departed leader as a veteran Congressman who was committed to the cause of the poor and under-privileged and enjoyed the confidence of the people.

The text of the Prime Minister's condolence message is as follows:
 
"It is with shock and deep sorrow that I learnt of the passing away of  your husband Shri Sis Ram Ola.
  
Sis Ram Ola ji was a veteran Congressman widely respected for his commitment to the cause of the poor and under-privileged. In a long and eventful public career, he served the country and the State of Rajsthan with great distinction. He always enjoyed the trust and confidence of the people, getting elected as Member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly eight times and Member of the Lok Sabha five times.

In the passing away of Sis Ram Ola ji I have lost a close friend and a valued colleague. Our country and Government have lost an outstanding leader.

On this sad occasion, I convey my heartfelt condolences to you and other members of the family, and to Sis Ram Ola ji's friends, well wishers and admirers. I join you in praying for the departed soul."
