PM's Health Update [28.01.2009]
Dr. Manmohan Singh, continues to make steady progress after the heart surgery carried out on 24th January 2009. Prime Minister had a restful night, and is now in a routine care environment. All catheters have been removed and Prime Minister is moving freely in his room. Prime Minister is on a regular diet with home-made meals, and physio-therapy and cardiac rehab are being provided to support speedy mobilisation.
Prime Minister read the newspapers today morning, and also held discussions with his aides. Prime Minister also enquired about the funeral arrangements being made for former President Shri R. Venkataraman.
Dr. Manmohan Singh is keen on returning to work early, and doctors are confident that he can do so since his recovery so far has been excellent.
