PM condoles the passing away of Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing away of Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi. He was one of the prominent leaders of Hyderabad and the President of the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM). He was a nationalist leader, popularly known as ''Salare-e-Millat'', (commander of the community) and was elected Member of Parliament from Hyderabad six times consecutively.

Sultan Owaisi was a widely respected leader of the minority community and established the first minority Engineering and medical College. He was actively involved in the promotion of Urdu language and literature.

As someone who inspired generations of his community, Sultan Owaisi will always be remembered. I convey my sincere condolences to his family, his friends and well-wishers and his admirers.

May his soul rest in peace.
