PM orders enquiry into Railway level crossing accident
The Prime Minister is extremely grieved over the tragic loss of lives in the accident in the train - bus collision at an unmanned railway crossing. The incident occurred at Kashiramnagar near Etah in Uttar Pradesh. He has directed the Chairman Railway Board to proceed to the site and supervise the relief and rescue operations and the Commissioner of Railways Safety to conduct and enquiry.
The Prime Minister has also announced an ex-gratia relief of rupees two lakhs each to the next of kin of the deceased, rupees fifty thousand each to the seriously injured and rupees ten thousand each to those with minor injuries.
